What we did:

We started working on the account in September 2019. The client was ready to spend more (closer to 10K a month) but they wanted to get the cost per lead down if they were going to consistently spend that much. We were able to put together a strategy to restructure the account setup and start ramping up the ad spend while simultaniously get the cost per lead down.
